Software Technology Manager (Applied Technology Dept.):

Manage the design, development and deployment of Customized Software Solutions for PC-Based Controllers on CNC Routers for Industrial Applications in both Woodworking and Plastics customers by applying engineering and manufacturing principles with the aide of CAD/CAM Software (AlphaCAM, AutoCAD and ArtCAM); developed in the C++ /VB. NET. Demonstrate CNC equipment to potential customers in a professional and courteous manner in support to the Sales Dept., as well as research new avenues of growth based on New Applications. Manage the complete software life-cycle for multiple products, including the definition, refinement and implementation of formal software requirements as well as post-deployment documentation and support. Perform resource planning to ensure the delivery of the Software Solution in a timely and cost-effective manner. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CNC Software through research and periodicals. Develop and maintain Post-processors to ensure proper CNC Integration with the Software. 

Must be willing to travel to client sites Monday-Friday.  Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree or foreign equivalent in an Engineering field.  Must have five (5) years of progressive experience as an Engineer working with software applications for 3 and 5 axis CNC Routers.  If interested, submit resume in duplicate to:

Technical Team Manager

Job duties include:

Use knowledge of electrical; mechanical; software (PLC); electronics (servo drivers/servomotors); canbus/profibus; communication protocol for PLC/servo drivers/motors to manage and oversee all post sale technical support and maintenance issues with all lines of Edgebander machines sold by SCM Group USA.  Manage and oversee the daily maintenance activities of up to five service engineers.  Schedule field service engineers for maintenance and repair calls based on experience and knowledge of field work. Ensure compliance and resolve all issues regarding scheduling of service engineers, production of work reports and telephone support. Direct all technical support functions for all makes and models of edgebander machines sold by SCM Group USA. Supervise service engineers and support staff as they deal with and resolve warranty issues and orders.

Oversee sales support staff and ensure they provide proper machine specifications for various applications required by customers. Develop training programs for new service engineers and oversee periodic training sessions for service engineers.   Maintain communications with the manufacturing plant in Italy to ensure all information on machine improvements, new technology and warranty issues are up to date. Use thorough knowledge of edgebander applications for the different types of woodworking industries to install industrial woodworking equipment, train customers on the operations of the equipment, and troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer locations.  Supervise the edgebander spare parts department. Supervise Trade show set-up and demonstrations of the various model of edgebander machinery.

Minimum Requirements:

Two years technical experience with all sizes of edgebander machinery manufactured for use in various industries.
